How to use a guide

Get answers in five steps

  1. Pick your state and license. Start from a guide or tell us which one you need.
  2. Read the Quick Facts. Fees, exam time, time to get licensed and renewal sit at the top of every guide.
  3. Jump to the section you need. The colored buttons under the header take you straight there.
  4. Confirm with the board. Use the official sources listed at the bottom before you apply or pay.
  5. Check the date. Every guide shows when its facts were last verified.

FAQ

Questions about our services

Is Exam Insiders free?

Yes. Every guide and comparison is free to read, with no account and no paywall.

Do you sell exam prep or CE courses?

No. We don’t sell courses. We explain the requirements and compare the options.

How current is the information?

Each licensing guide shows the date its facts were last verified, and we recheck every guide at least once a year.

Are you affiliated with a licensing board?

No. We’re independent. Each guide links to the board’s own site so you can confirm anything before you apply.

Can you file my application for me?

No. We can’t submit applications or register you for exams, but every guide points you to the board’s own forms and portal.

Need a guide we haven’t written yet?

Tell us the exam and state, and we’ll add it to our list.

Exam Insiders is an independent guide. We are not affiliated with any state licensing board or exam vendor.
